Signup Summary for Jobseeker and Freelancer Accounts
Platform Role
Omega Job / Work Portal is a marketplace that connects Jobseekers, Freelancers, and Service Providers. The platform only facilitates connections and communication; it does not employ users, guarantee work, process payments by default, or withhold taxes.
Account and Eligibility
- Single account, dual roles — One account may be used to apply for jobs and to offer freelance services.
- No automatic qualification — No degree is required unless a job posting or Service Provider explicitly requires one. Meeting posted requirements is the user’s responsibility.
- Profile accuracy — Provide truthful name, contact, skills, portfolio, rates, availability, and credentials. Keep information up to date.
- Account security — Protect your login details. You are responsible for all activity on your account. Report unauthorized access immediately.
Applying for Jobs and Offering Services
- Who may post — Only registered Service Providers may post jobs or work opportunities.
- Apply and propose — Use your account to apply for posted jobs or submit freelance proposals. Clearly state scope, deliverables, timelines, and price before starting work.
- Direct contracts — All agreements, payments, and deliverables are negotiated directly between you and the Service Provider. Omega Software Technology is not a party to those contracts.
Payments Taxes and Refunds
- No platform commission — The portal does not take commission on payments unless explicitly stated in a separate fee schedule.
- Payment responsibility — Agree payment method, milestones, and schedules with the Service Provider and keep records of invoices and receipts.
- Taxes — You are responsible for invoicing, reporting, and paying all applicable taxes and statutory charges.
- Refund policy — Refund requests for paid platform services must be made within 7 days. While a refund request is pending within that window, you cannot apply for jobs or work. Approved refunds are 80% of the paid amount minus applicable GST. No refunds after 7 days.
Intellectual Property Confidentiality and Deliverables
- Define IP in contract — Specify ownership, licensing, and transfer of intellectual property in writing. Absent a written agreement, IP rights follow the contract between parties.
- Pre existing materials — Freelancers retain ownership of pre existing tools, templates, or libraries and may grant a license to clients as agreed.
- Confidentiality — Treat client data and proprietary information as confidential and use it only to perform contracted work. Confidentiality obligations survive termination for the agreed period.
- Deliverable acceptance — Define acceptance criteria, revision limits, and approval process in writing before work begins.
Conduct Reporting and Enforcement
- Professional conduct — Do not engage in fraud, impersonation, harassment, discrimination, or illegal activity. Do not solicit off platform payments to evade platform rules.
- Reporting — Use the platform’s reporting tools to flag fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity. Omega Software Technology will investigate and may suspend or block accounts found violating rules.
- Verification — The platform or clients may request identity, credential, or background verification. Failure to verify when required may limit access to certain postings.
- Ratings and reviews — Provide honest feedback. Manipulating reviews or retaliatory ratings is prohibited.
Disputes Liability and Termination
- Dispute responsibility — Disputes over scope, quality, or payment are between you and the Service Provider. Omega Software Technology may assist by reviewing reports but is not a party to contracts and is not liable for outcomes.
- Indemnity — You agree to indemnify Omega Software Technology for claims, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or breach of these terms.
- Limitation of liability — To the fullest extent permitted by law, the platform is not liable for lost earnings, indirect damages, or disputes between users.
- Account actions — Serious or repeated violations may result in temporary suspension or permanent blocking.
Final Notes and Contact
- Amendments — These terms may be updated; continued use after posting constitutes acceptance.
- Governing law — Terms are governed by the laws where Omega Software Technology is registered.
- Support — For verification, refund requests, reports, or help, contact support through the platform’s official channels and keep records of all communications.
By registering you confirm you have read and agree to these terms.
